Who can join the jazz band?
The All-Star Jazz Band is offered to music students enrolled in the Advanced Band or the Advanced Orchestra at Talbert, Fulton and Masuda Middle Schools. This is a music enrichment class designed for upper level, experienced musicians (non-beginners) who want to explore the art form of jazz and blues, learn how to improvise and play solos, and who want to learn how to play swing style eighth notes, jazz chords and harmonies. Students will need to bring their own instruments to class at Masuda (except for drums, percussion, piano/keyboard and amps).
Tuition: $75
Starting Tuesday, February 11th. Jazz Band classes are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 3:30- 5:00pm.

Due to other events happening in our school district, there will be no jazz band classes on the following 3 dates:
