Service Opportunities
The Fountain Valley Schools Foundation is seeking volunteers to join our organization as either a Foundation Ambassador or a Foundation Board Director.
Interested individuals should begin by completing the brief Foundation Ambassador Application found on the Foundation website at FVschools.org, attending a meeting of the FVSF Board at noon on the first Monday of each month, and volunteering to serve in any needed capacity as described below.
Ambassadors:
Interested individuals should begin by completing the brief Foundation Ambassador Application found on the Foundation website at FVschools.org, attending a meeting of the FVSF Board at noon on the first Monday of each month, and volunteering to serve in any needed capacity as described below.
Ambassadors:
- Assist in activities with their time and talents
- Represent the Foundation in the community
- Are publicly recognized on the Foundation website and at events
- Volunteer but are not elected to the Board
- Are not expected to attend Board meetings
- Do not vote on Foundation business
After attending a Monday meeting and volunteering to assist with committee work or event production, individuals who are interested in Board membership should return to the FVSF website and complete a Board Director Application.
Board Directors:
Each applicant for the position of Board Director will be contacted by a member of the Board Development committee who will facilitate the completion steps of the application process.
Board Directors:
- Are elected to the Board for two-year terms
- Attend a one-hour Board meeting at noon on the first Monday of each month
- Serve on Board committees
- Provide leadership and direction for the Board
- Vote on strategic initiatives and financial approvals
Each applicant for the position of Board Director will be contacted by a member of the Board Development committee who will facilitate the completion steps of the application process.
